Working principle
A direct system works very simply. Fire detection tubing runs through every area where overheating, sparks and fire are possible. If a fire starts in a panel, the section of tube nearest the fire bursts and releases chemical only on that area.
Three ways to install it
Direct tube suppression
The tube itself is the nozzle: the section nearest the fire bursts and discharges chemical on that spot alone.
Indirect tube suppression
The bursting tube activates the cylinder valve, and the chemical is released from a nozzle inside the panel, flooding it completely. For closed areas only.
Tube + smoke detection
With tube detection, chemical discharges at that spot. With smoke detection, the cylinder valve operates and the nozzle floods the complete panel.
